Gestilar and a real estate fund managed by Morgan Stanley: the new allies in the real estate sector.

Gestilar has created a Joint Venture with a real estate fund managed by Morgan Stanley.

The agreement allows Gestilar to continue being one of the leaders in the residential sector with more than 1,000 houses under development.

Gestilar was created in 2009 by the García-Valcárcel family, and the Company has managed to have an outstanding track record in the past years.

With a thorough strategy and rigorous planning, Gestilar has delivered more than 800 homes to date. Currently, the firm has a portfolio of some 1,000 homes under development and expects a turnover of around € 500 million.

Javier García-Valcárcel, points out that: "... the keys to our success, in addition to the design and quality of the product, has been to optimize the real estate production cycle. Anticipation, projection and vision of the future are fundamental in our business strategy ".

Even though its current developments are focussed in Madrid and Catalonia, after the agreement with the real estate fund managed by Morgan Stanley, Gestilar will be able to increase its activity and carry its identity throughout Spain. The company has already begun to expand; as shown by the high profile project located in Oleiros (A Coruña), which has been successfully received by the Galician community. Its next destination within Galicia will be Vigo. Other planned areas of expansion are: Santander (Cantabria), Bilbao and San Sebastián (Basque Country) as well as the Mediterranean corridor, from Girona to Malaga.

The firm currently has nine projects under way in Spain. Amongst them stands Isla de la Toja in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid, an exclusive urbanization with the highest energy rating; Blau de Mar, in Girona, a housing development aimed at clients who demand the very best experience on the Costa Brava; and its latest residential bet on Isla de Santa Cruz in Galicia.
